The Great Eddy Covered Bridge is a wooden structure spanning the Mad River in Waitsfield for about 105 feet (32 meters) with a metal roof. An external walkway runs along the eastern side for pedestrian use.
This bridge was built in 1833, making it Vermont's second oldest covered bridge. It received National Register of Historic Places designation in 1974.
