The statue consists of eighteen bronze sections welded together using the lost-wax casting method, with the final casting process taking place in Pietrasanta, Italy.
The statue is housed inside the Franklin County Government Center and is protected from the elements. Access to view it is through the main entrance of the government building, where it stands in its glass pavilion.
