Sushi Shikon, Three-Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant in Central and Western District, Hong Kong.
Sushi Shikon is a sushi restaurant located on the seventh floor of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. The dining space centers on a hinoki wood counter where chefs prepare seasonal sushi daily using fresh ingredients sourced from Japanese markets.
The restaurant was established in 2013 by Executive Chef Yoshiharu Kakinuma, who trained as an apprentice under Chef Yoshitake in Tokyo. This experience shaped his approach and led to opening the establishment in Hong Kong.
The dining room displays Japanese antiques and handcrafted serving pieces that reflect traditional craftsmanship. Walking through, you notice how these objects from different regions create a sense of connection to Japan.
The restaurant is located on the seventh floor of a hotel and seats sixteen guests per seating. Advance reservations are essential and should be made ahead of your visit.
Seafood arrives each night directly from Tokyo's Tsukiji market to Hong Kong. This allows the restaurant to maintain the same quality standards as locations in Japan.
