Playa Las Lajas

Playa Las Lajas is a wide beach along Panama's Pacific coast, covered in light sand and backed by tall palm trees. The shoreline stretches for several kilometers and is shaped by shallow waters and some offshore islands.

The place was once a small fishing village on an undeveloped coast. Its transformation into a popular beach destination began in the 1990s and has continued since then.

Fishermen work the shore daily, selling their catch to nearby food stands and small eateries. This everyday activity shapes the character of the place and connects visitors to the local way of life.

Direct buses from David reach San Felix, where you can switch to a taxi for the final journey to your accommodation. Bring sun protection since the beach offers little shade and the sun is intense throughout the day.

Islands offshore, particularly Silva de Afuera, create conditions that draw surfers to the spot. This formation makes the place popular with water sports enthusiasts who visit throughout the year.
