Pantai Pancer

Pantai Pancer is a beach in Dusun Pancer that curves along Pacitan Bay in a U-shape, bordered by limestone cliffs and white sand facing the Indian Ocean. The formation creates natural breaks in the water and provides shelter from strong winds.

The local government of Pacitan started developing the beach in 2015 by building parks, event stages, and camping grounds as part of the Gunung Sewu Geopark initiative. This infrastructure transformed the place into a regional hub for water sports and nature activities.

The beach draws surfers from across the region who gather here to practice and compete in competitions. Local residents regularly organize cleaning activities, showing their commitment to maintaining the place for everyone.

The beach has prayer rooms, restrooms, parking, and surfboard rentals available for visitors. The best conditions occur from May through October when waves are most consistent and suitable for learning.

The beach has a river mouth that creates natural wave patterns ideal for learners, producing different conditions than other nearby surf spots. This feature makes the water behavior unpredictable and engaging for returning visitors.
