Lunapark

Lunapark is a theme park with multiple rides and mechanical attractions spread across a spacious grounds in Izmir. The site includes a Ferris wheel that offers views over the surrounding area and the city beyond.

The park opened in 1974 as a pioneer for modern amusement facilities in the Izmir region. This marked the start of a new kind of entertainment option for local residents.

The park serves as a gathering place where Turkish families maintain their tradition of sharing outdoor entertainment during warm evening hours.

The park is better visited on weekend mornings when fewer visitors are present and lines are shorter. Bus stops are located right at the entrance, making it easy to arrive.

A rotating carousel features hand-painted horses displaying traditional art patterns from different regions of Turkey. Each horse tells a story through its decorations about Turkish cultural diversity.
