TRON Lightcycle / Run, Roller coaster in Magic Kingdom, Lake Buena Vista, United States
TRON Lightcycle / Run is a steel motorbike coaster inside the Magic Kingdom, near Space Mountain in the Tomorrowland section. Riders sit forward on lightcycle-style vehicles that launch along an enclosed track, then race through a curving outdoor turn before returning inside.
Disney announced the ride in July 2017 at the D23 Expo, presenting it as a near copy of an earlier TRON coaster in Shanghai. It opened to the public on April 4, 2023 as part of the continued renovation of Tomorrowland.
The queue takes visitors through dark, glowing corridors that feel pulled from the TRON films, with blue light strips and digital sounds throughout. The outdoor curve lets people watching from Tomorrowland see the trains flash past as riders lean into the bend.
Plan to arrive early or keep an eye on the park app, since the line gets long once the day picks up. The seating position requires stepping over the bike, so wearing closed shoes and avoiding loose items makes the experience easier.
The ride has no inversions despite its intense launch and low seating position, which surprises many first-time riders. Its top speed and height place it among the fastest attractions at the Magic Kingdom, though the track stays close to the ground for a feeling of speed rather than height.
