Delta Dreamflight, Dark ride in Tomorrowland, Magic Kingdom, Florida.
Delta Dreamflight was a dark ride in Tomorrowland, Magic Kingdom, that transported visitors through various flight-themed scenes. The Omnimover system used projections and moving platforms to create the journey experience through different locations.
The ride opened in 1989 and replaced the earlier attraction If You Had Wings. It operated until 1998, when it was transformed into a different experience.
The entrance featured an actual Delta 767 aircraft section called The Spirit of Delta, creating an airport terminal experience for visitors. The setting transported guests into the atmosphere of preparing for departure.
The ride used a moving walkway system with continuous loading and unloading, allowing large crowds to board efficiently. Wait times varied throughout the day depending on overall park attendance.
Passengers traveled through recreated locations such as San Francisco Bay, Tokyo, and Paris featuring simulated flight effects. Each scene showed a different world city from the perspective of an air traveler.
