Swan Boats, Amusement ride in Magic Kingdom, Florida, United States
Swan Boats were water vessels that carried visitors around the waterways near Cinderella Castle using natural gas propulsion. They offered a relaxing journey that let guests see different areas of the park from the water.
The attraction ran from May 1973 to August 1983, beginning with twelve boats in service. Over time, maintenance challenges reduced the number of working vessels to five.
The boats provided families with views of multiple park landmarks while crossing the waters surrounding the central hub of Magic Kingdom.
Guests boarded through a loading dock near the Rose Garden for this water-based experience. A typical ride took around ten minutes and ran during regular park operating hours.
One of the original boats was converted into a maintenance vessel for cleaning the park's waterway system. This repurposed boat played an important role in keeping the water attractions working properly.
