Plaza de Armas

The Plaza de Armas features a central fountain and a large-scale relief map measuring approximately 30 square meters in its central section.

The plaza, constructed in the 17th century, initially served as a marketplace for merchants before evolving into the current social gathering space.

The park hosts traditional celebrations, including the Holy Wednesday serenade and All Saints Day, maintaining local customs through generations.

The square contains several essential services, with shops, restaurants, and administrative buildings surrounding the perimeter of the central area.

The plaza includes an acoustic shell built in 1933 above the municipal palace, designed specifically for martial band performances.
