Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean is a boat ride through dimly lit waterways in Disneyland Park, passing detailed scenes with mechanical figures in pirate costumes and tropical landscapes. The journey lasts around 9 minutes and includes two small water drops, with boats carrying up to 23 passengers.

The attraction opened in 1992 at the launch of Disneyland Paris and was the fourth version of this ride created by Walt Disney Imagineering. It was based on the popular original version developed in the 1960s in California.

The ride combines traditional French fortress architecture with Caribbean elements, reflecting both European and American influences in its structural design.

The ride is available daily and offers a good experience for visitors of all ages since it is gentle and not frightening. The indoor space is dark, so allow your eyes time to adjust to see all the details clearly.

Some scenes in the ride were specifically designed for Disneyland Paris and differ from other versions of the attraction worldwide. This French version features smaller details and backgrounds that can only be seen here.
