The Timekeeper, Circle-Vision 360° film attraction in Disneyland Paris, France

The Timekeeper is a film attraction at Disneyland Paris in France where nine projectors simultaneously cast a circular image onto screens covering all walls of the hall. Visitors stand in the center and can turn freely to follow scenes unfolding around them.

This attraction opened in 1992 under the name Le Visionarium and was the first circular show with a continuous story in a theme park. It ran until 2004 and was later replaced by another presentation.

The French name Le Visionarium refers to the Latin root for future vision and connects with the idea of traveling through European centuries. Visitors experience motifs from Jules Verne novels, which remain a model for technical dreams in France.

Visitors stand for the entire presentation of roughly 20 minutes and can turn to see all sides of the room. There are no seats, so comfortable shoes are advisable and one should be prepared to stand for a while.

Robin Williams lent his voice to the main character, while a robot named Nine-Eye accompanies the journey through different times. The figures move as animatronics in front of the audience and create a link between the film images and the real space.
