Alice's Curious Labyrinth, Hedge maze attraction in Disneyland Park, France
Alice's Curious Labyrinth is a hedge maze in Disneyland Paris made of privet and yew trees that display scenes from Alice in Wonderland. The attraction divides into two main sections with statues and decorative elements placed throughout the winding paths.
The maze opened in 1992 alongside Disneyland Paris and was designed by maze specialist Adrian Fisher. It was created as part of the British-themed section within Fantasyland.
The scenes and characters come from Lewis Carroll's book and Disney's 1951 film adaptation, with familiar figures like the Cheshire Cat and Queen of Hearts appearing throughout. Visitors encounter the story as they walk through different areas.
Visitors should allow around 30 minutes to navigate both sections of the maze, with the option to exit after the first part. The paths are marked but confusing, so it helps to walk slowly and take your time.
The layout of the paths is designed to form the shape of the Cheshire Cat from above, with a floral recreation of the cat's face visible from certain viewpoints. This hidden design typically goes unnoticed by visitors walking through at ground level.
