Hines Peak is the second-highest summit of the Topatopa Mountains, after Cobblestone Mountain, and stands within the Ventura County portion of Los Padres National Forest, a few miles northeast of Santa Paula. Its upper slopes receive snow in winter, and the peak rises above the forested canyons and ridges that surround it.
