The Spink Arms Hotel is an eight-story brick building in Indianapolis built in the early 1920s with two tall towers featuring four-story bay windows. The structure combines red brick and limestone, detailed window frames, and a crenellated parapet on top that resembles a castle wall.
The hotel was built in 1919 during a period of rapid city growth and designed by E. G. Spink and William K. Eldridge to serve as an impressive destination for visitors and residents. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001, formally recognizing its historical importance.
The hotel reflects how people stayed and traveled in the early 1900s, with a design that imitated old European buildings popular at the time. The twin towers and detailed windows show the architectural tastes of an era when the city was expanding rapidly.
The hotel is located on North Meridian Street in downtown Indianapolis and is easily accessible from main roads. Parking is available in a garage behind the building, and many city attractions and shops are nearby.
The building was once known as the Lionel Artis Center and served for decades as a hub for travelers arriving by train. Its prominent location near the station made it one of the first places visitors saw when entering Indianapolis.
