KLCC Park, Urban park in central Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
KLCC Park is a large urban green space in central Kuala Lumpur featuring paved pathways, open lawns, and an artificial lake. The grounds include a continuous running path, multiple play areas for children, shallow wading pools, and scattered seating throughout the landscape.
The park was created in the late 1990s as part of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre development project. A renowned landscape architect designed the grounds to bring green recreation into the heart of modern urban development.
The park serves as a gathering space where locals of all ages come to exercise, spend time with family, and unwind away from the city. The water fountain performances have become an evening ritual that draws people together to share a moment of leisure.
The park is open daily and easily accessible by public transport or car, with ample parking available on-site. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and take advantage of the shade provided by numerous trees throughout the grounds.
The lake features nearly 400 water jets that shoot streams high into the air, creating a dramatic display against the towering skyscrapers nearby. This nightly light and water show is free to watch and regularly draws people who come specifically for the spectacle.

The public parks and botanical gardens of Southeast Asian cities provide respite from traffic and congestion. In Bangkok, Lumphini Park offers 142 acres of green space with a man-made lake and exercise facilities, while Benjakitti Park sits along the waterfront near the Queen Sirikit Convention Centre. Chatuchak Park borders the weekend market of the same name, and Sanam Luang has served as a ceremonial ground near the Grand Palace for centuries. In other regional capitals, these sites fulfill similar functions. Singapore's Gardens by the Bay spans 250 acres of reclaimed land along Marina Bay, housing the 165-foot-tall Supertree structures. The Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens opened in 1865 and displays over 1,000 animal species. In Yangon, Kandawgyi Lake anchors a 370-acre park with views of Shwedagon Pagoda, while Taman Suropati in Jakarta serves as a gathering place for locals in the Menteng district. Several sites focus on botanical collections. The National Orchid Garden in Singapore showcases over 1,000 orchid species within the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Penang Botanic Gardens was established in 1884 under British colonial rule and preserves rainforest sections. The Bali Botanic Garden sits at 4,070 feet elevation in Bedugul, offering cooler temperatures than coastal areas. Hanoi Botanical Garden, founded in 1890, maintains native Vietnamese flora across 82 acres in the old quarter.
