Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Shopping center and skyscraper in Bukit Bintang, Malaysia
Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is a modern shopping and office complex spanning seven levels with approximately 550 retail shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The structure combines retail space with office facilities, creating a mixed-use complex that draws both shoppers and workers.
The project was built on the site of the former Bukit Bintang Girls' School, which relocated to Cheras in 2000 before construction began. This conversion displaced the school building but created space for a major shopping destination.
The Tokyo Street section features Japanese dining spots and specialty shops that introduce visitors to contemporary Japanese retail concepts. This area has become a popular gathering place for people seeking authentic Japanese products and food.
Visitors can access the complex through the nearby Bukit Bintang MRT station or the Raja Chulan Monorail station, with a covered walkway connecting to KLCC. Multiple entry points make it convenient to arrive from different parts of the city.
The Pavilion Crystal Fountain at the entrance is one of the tallest Liuli crystal fountains in Malaysia, featuring 43 glass sculptures. This fountain serves as a distinctive landmark and showcases traditional craftsmanship within a modern setting.
