Bandar Saujana Putra, human settlement in Malaysia
Bandar Saujana Putra is a planned township in Selangor state that spans about 820 acres, combining homes, shops, parks, schools, and gathering spaces in an organized grid layout. The area is structured by wide streets designed without back lanes and offers various housing types from detached homes to apartments, all situated on generous plots with lower density.
The township was developed in 2003 by LBS Bina Berhad to provide families with a calm home setting away from the busy city. Since then, the area has experienced steady growth, with new homes, shops, and facilities added over the years.
The name Bandar Saujana Putra blends words from different languages, reflecting Malaysia's multicultural nature. The community here is family oriented, with young families and long-time residents gathering at shared spaces and local shops, creating a strong sense of neighborliness.
Access is via major roads like the ELITE Highway and LDP connected to Kuala Lumpur and other regions, with the airport about half an hour away by car. Some public transportation exists, including an on-demand transit service, but most residents use private vehicles to navigate the area.
A new flyover completed in 2024 connecting the ELITE Highway to the SKVE Highway has significantly reduced traffic and improved mobility in and out of the area. Additionally, the Bandar Saujana Putra Mosque was completed in 2024 and has become a central gathering point for community events and daily prayers.
