Park Place, Mixed-use high-rise on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Park Place is a mixed-use high-rise on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, combining offices, residential apartments, and hotel residences across 56 floors above ground. The tower rises along one of the city's main arteries, standing among a dense row of similar tall buildings that line both sides of the road.
Work on Park Place began in 2004, designed by the Cox Group and built by Higgs and Hill LLC, with the tower completed in 2007. It was part of a rapid wave of construction that transformed Sheikh Zayed Road into the skyline it has today.
Sheikh Zayed Road, where Park Place stands, is lined with towers that define how modern Dubai presents itself to the world. Along this stretch, it is common to see office workers, hotel guests, and residents share the same building entrance, reflecting how work and daily life overlap in this part of the city.
The tower sits close to a metro station, making it easy to reach without a car, which is a real advantage along this busy road. Visitors on foot should be prepared for wide crossings and long distances between buildings, as the area is built for vehicles rather than walking.
Despite sitting on one of the loudest stretches of road in Dubai, all the residential spaces in the tower were fitted with special soundproofing to block out the noise from below. This was a deliberate design choice, making the upper floors feel noticeably quieter than the street would suggest.
