Construction of the tower started in 1998 under South African contractor Murray & Roberts, with architectural firm RTKL Associates completing the project in 2000.
The tower stands in Dubai's Trade Centre Second district, representing the evolution of the city from a trading post to an international business center.
The building contains six elevators serving its office spaces, with direct access to public transportation and Dubai International Airport within 12 minutes by car.
The structure required an investment of 40 million dollars and forms part of Dubai's commercial corridor, connecting Abu Dhabi to Ras Al Khaimah.
