Al Attar Business Tower, Office tower on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Al Attar Business Tower is a 38-floor office tower with a glass and steel facade located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It rises to about 158 meters (518 feet) and is served by six elevators connecting all its floors.
Work on the tower began in 1998, led by South African contractor Murray & Roberts, and the building was completed in 2000 following designs by architectural firm RTKL Associates. The project came during a period when Dubai was pushing forward with many large-scale construction efforts at the same time.
The tower stands along Sheikh Zayed Road, where office workers, visitors and delivery staff move through the lobby at all hours of the day. It is part of a corridor of towers that together define how Dubai presents itself to the world as a place of commerce.
The tower sits directly on Sheikh Zayed Road and is easy to reach by Dubai Metro, with a station nearby. If you are visiting for the first time, the building is identifiable by its glass facade among the other towers lining the road.
The tower was completed in just 2 years, a pace that reflected how Dubai was accelerating construction during that era. The project brought together workers and materials from multiple countries, which was already becoming a standard practice on the city's building sites.
