Faryab Province

Faryab province spans across 15 districts with more than 1,000 villages, covering a region that connects Afghanistan to the border of Turkmenistan.

The province received its name from a Sassanid-era town, forming part of Greater Khorasan and later known as Afghan Turkestan during the colonial period.
