Cacuaco

Cacuaco is a municipality in Luanda Province made up of three communes: Cacuaco, Kicolo, and Funda. These areas spread across the Atlantic coastline forming a densely populated region.

The municipality was established in 1996 and grew from a small settlement into one of the largest population centers in the province. This rapid expansion reflects the region's development.

The Mercado do Quicolo serves as a gathering place where local residents meet daily to trade goods and interact with one another. The market reflects how the community conducts business and maintains social connections.

The area is quite densely populated, so visitors should expect crowded conditions and active commerce. The Sequele housing project provides newer residential options and improved infrastructure in the expanding region.

The area hosts a landing station for the Sat3 fiber optic sea cable connecting Angola to international telecommunications networks. This infrastructure is fundamental to the region's global connectivity.
