Presidente Ibáñez Bridge, Bicycle bridge in Puerto Aysén, Chile

The single-span suspension bridge features two metal towers rising 25 meters high with eight steel cables crossing the Aysén River.

The construction started in 1961 during Jorge Alessandri's presidency and finished in 1966 under President Eduardo Frei Montalva's administration.

The bridge received recognition as a National Monument of Chile in 2002, marking its importance to the architectural heritage of the region.

The structure serves as a critical connection point along Chile Route 240, providing passage for cyclists between Puerto Aysén and surrounding communities.

Twenty-two vertical suspender rods on each side of the bridge support its structure while spanning across the waters of the Aysén River.
