Marga Marga Province

Marga Marga is a province in the Valparaíso Region composed of four communes spread across different towns. The area stretches between other administrative zones and links several urban centers that each have their own character.

The province was created in 2010 through a new law that brought together communes from two different earlier administrative divisions. This reorganization reshaped how the area was governed and organized.

Each of the four communes expresses its own character through local festivals and how residents gather in public spaces. You can sense these differences when walking through the neighborhoods, where each area has kept its own rhythm and traditions.

The four communes are linked by an integrated transportation network with different telephone area codes for each location. Travelers moving between towns should keep in mind that each area has its own local communication code.

The province has a notably higher population density compared to most other provinces in the region. This concentration of people reveals it as a more populated and active part of the area.
