Teatro Municipal is a theatre in Viña del Mar that displays ornate classical columns, carved friezes, and decorative cornices across its front facade. The building contains a spacious auditorium with a grand dome structure covering the main performance hall and entrance foyer.
The building was constructed between 1925 and 1930 under the direction of architects Renato Schiavon and Aquiles Landoff, who applied European architectural styles of that era. In 2009 it received official designation as a Historical Monument of Chile through official decree.
The theatre presents a diverse program of concerts, dance performances, and theatrical productions throughout the year, bringing together local and international artists.
The building sits on Arlegui Street 683 in the heart of Viña del Mar and is easily reached on foot. Visitors can purchase tickets in advance online or directly at the box office before performances.
The structure received its designation as a Historical Monument of Chile through Decree 435 in 2009, joining the national monuments list of Valparaíso Region.
