Quinta Vergara Amphitheater

Quinta Vergara Amphitheater is an open-air venue located within a park in Viña del Mar with a sloped seating arrangement built from concrete. It holds approximately 20,000 people and is designed specifically for musical performances and large outdoor events.

Architect Hernando López built the original wooden structure in 1963 to replace a temporary stage used for the first festival celebration. A major renovation in 2002 transformed the venue into a modern concrete structure and expanded its capacity.

The venue has become central to the annual Viña del Mar International Song Festival, drawing musicians and audiences from across Latin America who gather here in February. The event has established this location as a key meeting place for the region's music scene.

The venue is set within a larger park, so it helps to check access routes and parking options before visiting. The space comes alive during performances when the sound and lighting systems are fully operational for events.

In 2023, the venue hosted the Teletón Chile campaign finale for the first time outside the National Stadium in more than two decades. This shows how the location has grown as a leading event space beyond its traditional music festival role.
