Torre Telefónica Chile

The Torre Telefónica rises 143 meters into the Santiago skyline with a steel structure and glass facade featuring a distinctive overhang two-thirds up the building.

The construction of this telecommunications tower started in 1993 and concluded in 1996, with a total investment of 75 million dollars from the Chilean phone company.

The building design references early 1990s mobile phone technology, incorporating an antenna structure at the top that mirrors the contemporary cellular devices.

Eight high-speed elevators transport visitors and employees through the 34 floors of office space, reaching speeds of 6.3 meters per second.

The complex includes a public library and a Living Lab within its nine-story twin building, where new technologies undergo testing phases.
