Museo de Los Tajamares is a museum in Balmaceda Park, on the south bank of the Mapocho River in Providencia, Santiago. It was built around a brick wall of the colonial Tajamares del Mapocho found in 1977 during excavations to extend Metro Line 1 toward the eastern part of the city. The wall was kept in place and the museum opened on 24 October 1980; it has been closed since 2003 and is covered with a layer of earth.

The Tajamares were defensive walls built in 1792 along the Mapocho to protect Santiago from flooding. They extended from Balmaceda Park to the Cal y Canto Bridge.

The museum is named after the tajamares, the colonial river walls it was built to display. It has been closed since 2003, so the brick remains found in 1977 cannot currently be seen; the Municipality of Providencia has sought to reopen it since 2010.

The building has been closed to visitors since 2003 due to water infiltration issues and awaits renovation by the Municipality of Providencia. It is best to check current information about reopening before planning a visit.

In 2019, municipal authorities covered the museum structure with sand to protect it from damage during frequent street demonstrations in the area. This unusual protective measure shows how the site remained connected to the city's social changes.
