Castillo Lehuedé

Castillo Lehuedé is a three-story house in Providencia with a stone foundation and distinctive mansard roof. The structure features solid stone walls combined with refined details like oak flooring and decorative stained glass doors.

Pedro Lehuedé Fernández commissioned architect Federico Bieregel to build this residence in 1923. The project came during a period when European architectural styles were reshaping the homes of Santiago's wealthy districts.

The house shows how wealthy Santiago families wanted to live in the 1920s, mixing French style with local building traditions. You can see their taste in the fine details and the way spaces are arranged.

The house is located on Plaza Mori in the Bellavista district and operates as a hotel today. Visiting allows you to see the room layouts and craftsmanship details from the early 1900s.

The house features premium materials like American oak flooring and large chimneys that showcase early 20th-century craftsmanship. These building techniques and materials are rarely seen today and make it a living example of solid construction from that era.
