Bristol Hotel, Mar del Plata, Hotel in Argentinien
Bristol Hotel Mar del Plata is a four-star hotel near the seafront and the city center in Mar del Plata, Argentina. It offers fully equipped apartments, each with a kitchen, a living area, a bathroom, and a balcony or terrace facing the sea.
The original Bristol Hotel opened in 1888 and quickly became a summer destination for wealthy families from Buenos Aires. Over the 20th century it lost its former role and was eventually turned into a shopping center, leaving only parts of the original structure standing.
The name references an English city, reflecting its international character from the start. For many decades, it served as a gathering place where wealthy visitors dined, danced, and enjoyed live orchestral performances in grand halls.
The hotel has a 24-hour front desk and free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Guests also have access to covered parking, a fitness room, and a sauna.
The original 19th-century building had towers and an ornate facade, and it hosted state banquets and orchestral concerts for Argentina's elite. Only fragments of that structure survive today.
