Incahuasi

The Incahuasi volcano rises to 6,621 meters above sea level, featuring a 3.5-kilometer-wide caldera and two distinct volcanic peaks in the Central Volcanic Zone.

The mountain contains evidence of volcanic activity spanning 1.57 million years, with pyroclastic cones in the northeast producing basalt-andesite lava flows across 10 square kilometers.

An Inca ceremonial structure discovered at the summit in 1913 indicates the mountain's connection to indigenous religious practices and traditions.

The mountain lacks permanent glaciers but receives between 300 to 500 millimeters of precipitation annually, primarily during winter months through snowfall.

The volcano's eastern flank contains a 6-by-4-kilometer lava dome, while its crater measures 750 by 900 meters, surrounded by a 2-kilometer-high plateau.
