Campo de Piedra Pómez, Protected natural area in Antofagasta de la Sierra, Argentina.

The Campo de Piedra Pómez covers 75,489 hectares of land, featuring extensive pumice stone formations at elevations between 3,050 and 4,850 meters above sea level.

The geological formations in this area emerged approximately 100,000 years ago through volcanic activity from the nearby Blanco or Robledo volcano.

The protected area includes three designated trails leading from El Peñón, Carachipampa, and Las Papas, allowing visitors to explore the natural stone formations.

Entry tickets for foreign visitors cost 15,000 pesos, while Argentinian residents pay 5,000 pesos, and locals from Catamarca receive a reduced rate of 2,000 pesos.

Five thousand natural rock formations spread across 35 kilometers of land, creating different visual patterns depending on sunlight and sky conditions.
