The Natural History Museum exhibits over 2,000 specimens, including 393 mammals, 475 birds, 187 reptiles, and collections representing Brazilian ecosystems.
Founded on May 20, 1939, the museum received protected status from the State Historical Heritage Council in 1970 and Campinas Cultural Heritage Council in 1991.
The institution serves as an educational center, offering environmental programs and biology workshops for children, teachers, and the general public throughout the year.
Located at Rua Coronel Quirino 2, the museum operates Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM, with guided tours available between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
The museum forms part of a complex including an aquarium and House of Interesting Animals, situated within a preserved Atlantic Forest remnant.
