Igarapé-Miri

Igarapé-Miri extends across 1,996 square kilometers of land characterized by numerous waterways and dense vegetation along the Amazon River basin.

The municipality gained its administrative independence on April 12, 1993, when it separated from Mãe do Rio to establish its own governance structure.
