Cikupa is an administrative district in Tangerang Regency in western Java and comprises several settlements of different characters. The area spans fourteen administrative subdivisions, ranging from more densely populated zones to rural communities.
The district experienced significant growth starting in 1994 with the launch of the Citra Raya Tangerang major development project within its boundaries. This expansion transformed previously rural areas into organized residential settlements.
The district maintains a mix of urban and rural settlements across fourteen different communities, each with distinct population patterns and local governance structures.
The area is served by several transportation routes linking it to major industrial zones and enabling movement across different parts of the region. Infrastructure will be further developed through planned railway projects to improve connections.
The administrative center, Budimulya, oversees a population of 209,140 residents spread across diverse communities ranging from 5,587 to 24,894 inhabitants.
