Pantai Carita, Beach in Pandeglang, Indonesia

Pantai Carita is a beach on the western coast of Banten province featuring soft white sand and gentle waves ideal for swimming. The shoreline extends for several kilometers with sections suitable for relaxation and water activities.

Pantai Carita was designated a Natural Tourist Park by the Minister of Agriculture's decree No. 440/kpts/UM/1978 on 15 July 1978. The area lies in Labuan District, Pandeglang Regency, on the main Carita–Labuan road that links the west Banten coastal resorts. Its white sand and gentle slope made it a popular weekend destination for visitors from Jakarta.

The name Carita comes from Sundanese and the beach is known locally as Basisir Carita. White sand and gentle surf support football and beach volleyball, while warungs, shops and a supermarket along the coast serve visitors, especially at weekends and on holidays.

The beach is accessible from Jakarta via two main routes and offers various water activity options for visitors. Arriving early helps you enjoy the best swimming conditions and clearer views throughout the day.

Mount Krakatau rises visibly from across the Sunda Strait, serving as a constant reminder of the region's volcanic past. This dramatic landform makes the location particularly appealing for photography and nature enthusiasts.
