Teluknaga, Administrative district in Tangerang, Indonesia
Teluknaga is an administrative district in northeast Tangerang Regency, consisting of thirteen villages spread across rural and developing areas. The district continues to grow as people settle near the airport region and seek opportunities in the expanding communities.
The district formed as part of Tangerang's administrative development, evolving from purely rural land into a modern suburban area. Tanjung Burung, one of its villages, held significance during the colonial period under Chinese leadership.
The district maintains traditional practices through Masjid Al Makmur, recognized as the oldest mosque in the area, serving the local Muslim community.
Visitors will find a mix of traditional villages and new residential areas that are accessible by local transport. Early mornings or late afternoons are the best times to explore, when community activity is highest.
The area experienced rapid transformation due to its proximity to the major international airport, bringing new development and infrastructure. Former wetland areas were converted into residential neighborhoods that now define much of the district's character.
