Cirahong Bridge, Road-rail bridge in Manonjaya, Indonesia.
Cirahong Bridge is a road-rail bridge spanning the Citanduy River with a two-level structure. The upper level carries trains while the lower level accommodates vehicle traffic.
The bridge was built in 1893 by Dutch engineers as part of southern Java's railway development. In 1954, semi-circular reinforcing structures were added beneath the frame to handle diesel locomotives.
The bridge functions as a central meeting point for local residents, connecting communities between Tasikmalaya and Ciamis regions while fostering regional exchanges.
The lower level operates on an alternating one-way system because the roadway is quite narrow. Visitors crossing on foot or driving should be aware of this sharing arrangement.
The bridge was originally a railway-only structure before the road level was added later. This unusual conversion allowed two entirely different transport networks to share a single infrastructure.
