Grha Sabha Pramana, University auditorium in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Grha Sabha Pramana is the main auditorium of Universitas Gadjah Mada, built in a joglo style with a floor area of 11,069.80 m², which increases to 12,654 m² with the open tribune on its south side. It stands on the Boulevard next to the university's central building.

Construction began in 1993 as part of a major expansion of the university's facilities, supported through international development funding. This project marked a turning point in the institution's ability to host large-scale academic gatherings and institutional ceremonies.

The name Grha Sabha Pramana comes from Sanskrit: grha (building), sabha (assembly) and pramana (testimony or authoritative knowledge). The joglo-style roof, a hallmark of Javanese architecture, is the most visible local element; the sources do not mention carved wooden columns. Graduation ceremonies, previously held under a large tent at the Balairung, moved into this hall.

Car parking surrounds the building, and a motorcycle parking pocket sits to the north beside the UGM Library. Trans Gadjah Mada campus buses stop at the GSP/Library and FEB/FISIPOL/FTP halts. Trans Jogja lines 3A, 3B, 4A, 4B and K1J Teman Bus serve the Peternakan UGM and FKG UGM stops, a short walk away.

The design was finished in 1986, but construction waited until a World Bank loan covering 75 percent of the cost was disbursed in mid-April 1993. The building was budgeted at Rp 9.069 billion and planned for completion the following May. Graduations previously took place in the Balairung under large tents.
