Gibraltar Peak

Gibraltar Peak rises to 1038 meters, offering extensive views across the Australian Capital Territory from its purpose-built observation platform.

The mountain gained recognition for climbing activities in the 1970s when Australian mountaineers established multiple routes along its rocky surfaces.

The mountain holds deep connections to the Ngunnawal people, who maintained strong relationships with this land through generations of Indigenous Australian history.

Visitors can access the peak through two primary tracks: an 8-kilometer route or a 13-kilometer alternative, both starting from Dalsetta car park.

The mountain track, constructed by Makin Trax in 2012, attracted over 400 hikers within its first two weeks of opening.
