Georges River Council

Georges River Council is a local government region in southern Sydney that covers about 38 square kilometers and includes several urban neighborhoods. It provides libraries, aquatic facilities, parks, and other public services that serve the local population.

The region was formed in 2016 from the merger of two earlier councils to streamline administration. This combination brought different neighborhoods under one authority and has shaped local governance since then.
