Lukas Enembe Stadium

Lukas Enembe Stadium is a multi-purpose facility in Sentani Timur situated between the Cyclops Mountains and Lake Sentani. The venue holds around 40,000 seats in an oval layout and features modern amenities including LED lighting and digital scoreboards.

The stadium was designed in 2016 and completed in 2019 to provide the region with a major sports venue. The project was part of Papua's infrastructure development and helped modernize local sporting facilities.

The structure displays 50 triangular sails, with 34 smaller ones lining the curves and 16 taller ones that draw from traditional Papuan design. These forms echo the sailing boats used by locals and show how the region's relationship with water shaped the building's look.

The facility sits roughly 9 kilometers from Sentani International Airport and is reachable by public transport. It helps to check ahead for events since the schedule changes with the seasons.

The playing surface uses a specialized grass variety optimized for sporting events and athletic competitions. This combination of natural ground and modern materials allows multiple sports to be held on the same field.
