Hollywood Star Lanes was a 32-lane bowling center located in a spacious building at 5227 Santa Monica Boulevard. The venue provided ample space for numerous games and visitors to enjoy bowling entertainment simultaneously.
The facility operated from 1960 until 2002, when it closed due to the Los Angeles Unified School District acquiring the property. The land was needed to construct Kingsley Elementary School on the location.

The location operated 24 hours daily before closing, offering bowling games, shoe rentals, and food service. Visitors could arrive at any time to enjoy these amenities.
The FBI used the area behind the bowling alley as a strategic base during a 1977 operation targeting two Scientology locations nearby. This historical event is often overlooked compared to the venue's film fame.
