Radford Studio Center, Television production facility in Studio City, US.
Radford Studio Center is a television production facility in Studio City within the San Fernando Valley featuring several large sound stages and production buildings. The campus extends across multiple city blocks and includes outdoor sets, office towers, and technical facilities for film and television work.
The site originated in May 1928 as Mack Sennett Studios, among the first professional production complexes in the Valley. After several ownership changes, the lot became one of the most heavily used studios for television series.
The complex processes dozens of television productions each day while maintaining the character of a classic Hollywood studio lot with its brick-clad buildings and historic towers. Visitors often recognize the recurring facades and courtyards from popular series filmed here.
The facility sits at the intersection of Radford Avenue and Ventura Boulevard and can only be partially viewed from the outside, as it primarily functions as a workplace for production teams. Public access is generally limited to organized tours or events.
The grounds contain specialized water tanks that enable pool scenes and maritime backdrops without requiring location shoots. The outdoor sets are designed to stand in for New York, Chicago, or other major cities as needed.
