Bacubirito Meteorite, Iron meteorite at Science Center in Culiacán, Mexico.

The Bacubirito meteorite measures 4.25 meters in length, 2 meters in width, and 1.75 meters in height, with a mass of 22 metric tons.

In 1863, geologist Gilbert Ellis Bailey discovered this substantial iron meteorite near the village of Ranchito in the Sinaloa municipality of Mexico.

The Science Center of Sinaloa preserves and displays this meteorite, which ranks as Mexico's largest and the sixth most massive meteorite worldwide.

Visitors can observe the meteorite during regular opening hours at the Science Center of Sinaloa, located in the central district of Culiacán.

The meteorite contains a composition of 88.94 percent iron and 6.98 percent nickel, with additional traces of cobalt, sulfur, phosphorus, and silicon dioxide.
