Mirador Cerro de Gallego

The observation deck stands 1,879 meters above sea level, providing views of Urique Canyon, its river, and the distant settlement of Huapalaina.

The mission era in this region began in 1679 when Jesuit priests arrived to establish their presence among the indigenous Raramuri communities.

The area hosts the annual Caballo Blanco Ultra Marathon in February, where international runners compete alongside native Raramuri athletes.

Visitors can reach the viewpoint from Bahuichivo station via a one-hour drive through forest roads, with facilities including restrooms and parking areas.

The viewing platform features a glass-floor extension and suspension bridges that extend over the deepest canyon in the Copper Canyon system.
