Senior Road Tower, Broadcasting tower in Fort Bend County, Texas, USA.
Senior Road Tower is a guyed broadcasting mast near Missouri City that stands over 1,900 feet tall. Multiple FM and television stations operate transmission equipment installed at different levels throughout its steel structure.
Construction was completed in 1983 following the collapse of a predecessor structure during its building phase in late 1982. The new tower was built to address broadcasting coverage needs in the Houston area.
The tower emerged as a solution to Houston's FM broadcasting challenges in the late 1970s when new downtown buildings interfered with radio signals.
The tower is located on private property and is not open to public access. The structure can be viewed from nearby roads and public areas surrounding the site.
The tower reaches above 600 meters in elevation, placing it among the tallest transmission structures in the region. Its height enables signals to reach a vast geographic area across multiple counties.
