National American Bank Building

The National American Bank Building is a skyscraper in the Central Business District of New Orleans with 23 floors rising approximately 325 feet (99 meters). Its base features polished granite while the upper levels display limestone facades.

The building was completed in 1929 under architect Moise H. Goldstein Sr. and earned National Register of Historic Places status in 1986 for its architectural importance. This Art Deco design language defined the city's look during that era.

The building displays Art Deco style through its octagonal tower topped with a golden finial, reflecting early 20th century design tastes in New Orleans. You can see the decorative details and distinctive shape from the street below.

The building is located at 200 Carondelet Street in downtown New Orleans and is easily accessible on foot. Following extensive renovations completed in 2008, it now contains residential apartments, so viewing from the street is most practical.
