930 Poydras

930 Poydras is a 21-story residential tower in downtown New Orleans containing about 250 apartments of varying sizes. The building features a large parking garage, floor-to-ceiling windows, and modern kitchens throughout.

The building opened in 2010 as the first new residential high-rise erected in downtown New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina devastated the city in 2005. Its construction marked a turning point in reviving the central business district following the disaster.

The ninth floor includes shared lounges and dining areas that echo the style of traditional New Orleans courtyards. Residents gather in these spaces for casual meetings and social time.

Access to the lobby and main facilities is from Poydras Street on the building's front side. Keep in mind this is a residential building, so most interior spaces are restricted to residents and their guests.

The ninth floor features a large cantilevered glass structure projecting from the facade that houses a coffee bar, film screening area, and a saltwater swimming pool. This distinctive architectural element gives the building a memorable profile and creates an unexpected elevated public space.
