Benson Tower, High-rise building in Central Business District, New Orleans, US
The Benson Tower consists of 26 floors with a height of 406 feet, presenting postmodern architecture elements in its glass and steel construction.
Initially named Dominion Tower upon its 1989 completion, the building underwent renovation after Hurricane Katrina and reopened in 2011 under Tom Benson's ownership.
The building strengthens New Orleans' commercial center by housing state offices, media operations, and administrative facilities near the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Located at 1450 Poydras Street, the skyscraper maintains 486,692 square feet of office space with balconies overlooking Champions Square.
The second floor accommodates television station WVUE, which broadcasts morning news and sporting events from its dedicated studio space.
